IMMEASURABLY MORE – THE GOD WE SERVE

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” – Ephesians 3:20

This benediction/prayer concludes chapter 3 of Ephesians.  It is one of the most quoted verses in the all of Paul’s letters, a “good word” that takes us from the mundane plains of everyday ministry to the mountain tops of vision.  In the process it tells us something about God, something about our relationship with Him, and the goal of our faith and life.

This  verse is one of those words from God that shapes our understanding of our vision as the Church of God of Landisville, especially as we seek to be the best church for our community.  We are not content just to be a congregation of believers reassuring one another of God’s love until we die or He returns.  We believe God calls us to be a powerful influence in transforming our lives and our community to be the people of the Kingdom of God.

  1. I am always in amazement at the eloquent writing of the scriptures. So succinct and to the point. Paul and the others did not go to college or even high school yet they could write like they were an Ernest Hemingway or T. S. Elloit.

    All the writings of the Bible must be God inspired.
